One Fneel Swoop.
When you get one completely absurd Neel Shah mention in a national forum, it's just something you just forward (fwd) to your friends so that we can all share a good laugh at this completely ridiculous character's expense. When you get three in the span of 24 hours, you (read: me) kind of feel obligated to aggregate all of these absuridities in one place so that people can see how insane it all really is.
-The most recent issue of GQ showcases the best suits under $500, modeled by Neel
-GQ goes on the TODAY Show to have these suits modeled by "real men"
-Glamour's "Ask Jake" competition starts, Neel is one of the three finalists
-Neel's first (highly editted) blog entry for Glamour

It's no Zodiac.

First promotional picture of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. More spoilerish: the first picture of the actual Iron Man suit.

Help me help me.
So, I'm an idiot and I can't stop buying sneakers. Today I got these. Six days ago? These, after having already bought these less than a month before.
What can you do to keep me from being such an dumbass? Well, if we're friends, I probably IM/Gchat you asking: "Hey should I get these?", if/when that happens, just please say no. Please.
This is a serious problem.

New raps musics.
Kanye's first single "Stronger" off his third album Graduation samples Daft Punk and sounds pretty good (from what I can tell). He performed it on his "Touch the Sky" tour while in Kuala Lampur, two pretty low quality YouTube videos can be found HERE (recommended of the two) and HERE.
'Ye working with Daft Punk probably has hipster/nerd hip hop heads going crazy as we speak.
When Pharrell's In My Mind tanked (on the charts and critically) he turned to the Roots' ?uestlove for support and a new record called Out of My Mind, this record retains Skateboard P's vocals and has ?uestlove and his allstar band recording all new instrumentals for the record.
Unfortunately, Interscope doesn't have a release date for the album so the one song ("How Does it Feel?") that ?uest put up on his MySpace is all that people are going to get to hear from this particular collabo.
I wish I had a third point of interest, but I don't.

Empty vee daught calm.
A while back, MTV.com changed their site to a flash only mess; it was all kinds of terrible and completely impossible to navigate. Since then (and as traffic began to plummet since its peak in '05*), I heard that MTV was working really hard to right their wrongs and come up with a new HTML based site.
Nine months later (which seems relatively quick for MTV Networks), they launched their new more traditional website. They've removed the flash player that was in the top left (which played unsolicited pre-rolls) and reorganized the hierarchy of the site giving featured videos and news items equal weight above the fold.
The key to the flash site, or at least the only thing that probably justified sacrificing usability and function, was the plethora of premium ad realestate available, including the aforementioned pre-rolls (which typically charge almost TV rates per impression) that played as soon as a user hit the site. To compensate, it seems like they've increased the number of pre-rolls per streaming video, meaning, they're playing an ad between every stream rather than during every other stream, but that could just be the videos that I hit. The other way that they might have kept from underserving their ads is by having just stopped selling that particular unit early enough, seeing as how they've been A/B testing the beta version of the HTML version of the site as early as two months ago.
Oh, also, along with this new site, they've started a weird dev blog that's tracing new projects at mtv.com. A quick glance shows that MTV's "renewed focus" online includes a lot of blogs-- not to say that someone doesn't want to read the "Taquita and Kaui" blog, but, you know... Their most recent post has to do with the mistakes they made in switching to the all flash site, but then, ironically enough, all of the comments are complaining about the new version-- can't please everyone I guess!
*Obviously trusting Alexa isn't typically a great idea, but it's a good way to gauge general traffic trends for this particular example.

Ii want a Wii.
The authors (and guest bloggers) of Freakonomics take a look at the Wii, particularly it's availability.
It's all pretty speculative, but worth taking a look at.
